Today, we’re beyond excited to announce a major milestone: an $18.6 million Series A round led by General Catalyst, with continued support from M13 and Shine. It’s a moment we’re incredibly proud of, but more importantly, it’s a moment built on the work of public servants across the country who are transforming how government serves people.
At Polimorphic, our mission is simple but ambitious: to make public service easier, faster, and more human. Local governments are the front line of democracy. They’re where we get permits, register to vote, pay utility bills, report issues, and ask for help. But despite the importance of their role, local governments have been chronically underinvested in, especially when it comes to technology.
Today, our customers, cities, counties, and agencies in states like California, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, and New Jersey are leading the way in showing what’s possible when governments are equipped with the right tools.
These aren’t just software wins. They’re stories of trust rebuilt, burnout reduced, and time saved for real community impact. Our customers have cut voicemails by up to 90%, reduced walk-ins by 75%, collected over $10 million in payments online, and saved more than 55,000 hours, the equivalent to 26 years of staff time.
This new round of funding is a springboard. With it, we’re expanding our product suite, deepening our partnerships with governments, and growing our team to keep up with demand. The biggest highlight is strengthening how our products interact.
Imagine a world where a resident calls into an office and asks about getting a building permit. Then, the AI not only responds with how, but also allows the resident to complete an application and pay over the phone. Then, the government staffer gets a notification about the application and can easily review and approve it. Bringing it all together, our CRM shows government teams history from previous applications and shows when it’s time to renew. Thus, enabling the entire resident services process on one platform: Polimorphic.
Here’s a look at what else is ahead:
And we’re just getting started. We’ll continue listening closely to our government partners, co-developing new features that solve real-world problems.
This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary people building Polimorphic from the inside. To every dedicated, curious, and determined teammate across the company: thank you.
